The more I play her, the more I'm really enjoying Bailey. :) She is certainly her father's daughter, and quite the flirt. Last week, she went on a date with Nate that wasn't really a date but it sort of was and she really enjoyed herself so she's excited for their next outing. And what I like for her is that she's not actively looking for romance or anything like that- she just wants to have fun and if something comes out of it, that'd be awesome, and if not, she's not going to get too worked up about it.
I know I had more rambles but I ate so much today that I'm just sorta dazed today...

I quit BW today, and because I expect my post to get taken down, here is exactly what I said:
I'm posting this expecting it to get taken down, but it would be pretty nice and mature if it would as least stay up long enough for people I have plot with to see it.
I am dropping BW, but I wanted to tell those people I do have plot with exactly why.
1. Joy harassing me and Caitlin about me not being active enough in the Severus/Lily line
2. Having to give up my character with the most plot because to give up the others would mean having to lose plot that wouldn't wait for me to pick them back up, especially after both Caitlin and Joy knew about the emotional problems I had been having, which had been almost nearly resolved when the impromptu activity check happened.
3. Joy's refusal to clarify her activity expectations.
4. Joy's refusal to include the mid-monthly activity checks in the rules.
5. Joy lying about me having to give up Victoire.
6. Joy's reaction to Aine's MWPP game.
7. Joy stepping down as "head mod" so that Britt can take the fall for her.

So I was going to take this down or flock or something after I chilled out, but no, Joy had to run her mouth again, reply to my post, and then delete it from the ooc comm. And in her comment, she tried to tell me that I was told to give Severus up instead, and I was never once told that. I still have the emails, Joy. They very clearly say Hestia. I also have the log of my conversation with Caitlin. She also said Hestia. And by the way, Severus did talk to Lily. He talked to her when she wrote, and he talked to her when he had something to tell her. I'm sorry if you wanted some awful Severus who'd write all the time, wangsting about whatever, but my Severus uses the journals for communication, when he has something to communicate. Not to ship with you.

I've been thinking about my writing habits and the types of characters I write, and I've come to a couple of realizations.
1. I kind of really stink at characters that are complete asses. Ask me to play a douchebag guy and he'll end up baking cookies for his friends eventually. I feel like a lot of mine have this inherent need to be nice. Even my Slytherin girls, who were supposed to be kind of snotty end up on the nice side.
2. I don't think I'm good at uppercrust society people, unless I'm playing them as a sort of parody character. Like Persephone and her whole marriage and everything with Prior at BL. Or Prince Charles at Fair, who I should probably try to write something for at some point.
3. I really like ships. This isn't to say that I'm automatically going to have my characters jumping into somebody's trousers at the first sign of attention, but it's pretty likely that mine will end up in some sort of relationship at some point.
I suppose I kind of feel like a lot of my characters follow the same sort of archetypes and that all of my characters are exactly the same. Or that I write in such a way that it's painfully obvious that I'm the writer behind every single one of my characters.
But then again, maybe I am just too critical.

Question! Because my mom had me thinking about it today, and I'm curious. What is your favorite Christmas (or Winter/holiday!) song? And is there any particular reason why it's your favorite?
Personally, I have to admit that mine is probably Fairytale of New York by The Pogues. I think for me it's because when I was in London two years ago, it was literally the week before Christmas and I heard that song on the radio all the time and it just reminds me of the holidays in Europe- it was a lot of fun for me and I just love all of the Christmas fairs and the holiday spirit and all of that- I wish we had more of that sort of thing down here (or at least near my house!).

Not too shabby! Today I've made steak and potatoes and corn for lunch and it turned out pretty delicious! I made up a garlic marinade using a little lemon juice and some of the Salt Grass steakhouse seasoning- it's a nice different flavor from the steaks we've had in a while.
Everything else has been okay. Yesterday was kinda strange, but ended on a pretty good note. And I had a chocolate banana milkshake with Bailey's and it was sooooooo good. I might make me another one tonight. Thanksgiving is coming up- I only have class on Monday and on Tuesday I'll make my signature pecan pie (my family claims it's the best they've ever had but idk. But hey- if they like it, then awesome!) and Wednesday I have a dentist appointment. Whoop de doo!
And yes! I'm going to finish my lunch and then study for tomorrow's Italian test. :)

So the remainder of yesterday was very unproductive. I should have gotten ahead on my reading and instead I totally sat and stared at the computer screen for most of the day. I'm going to say that's okay, since I had exams first thing in the morning and was pretty braindead afterward. I need to go in early this morning and speak to my advisor's assistant about everything else I need for graduating, go into the library to see about getting a TexShare library card, stop by the career services office to schedule an appointment for career counseling, and...hopefully I can visit with my friend before her class and maybe get ahead on some of my reading. I feel like such a slacker this week after all of last week's productivity. There's also a few errands I would love to run at some point but idk when yet.
Internet-wise, I need to email a few people for plot type things and see about maybe getting some of the threads I have planned going, I want to tl;dr on my characters at some point soon, finish a couple of fics that I have left to do, andddddd that may be all for now.
But for now, I want a shower, then some tea.

OH MY GOD I PASSED MY SENIOR EXAMS AND NOW I AM FLAILING SO HARD.
It's one less thing for me to worry about, at least, when it comes to the end of this semester. I still have two huge project/paper things to work on but at least now I don't have to worry about comps. I need to pass my Shoah project, since I rather bombed the midterm and need to pass to pass the class, but I can do that.
Today has definitely taken a turn for the better :D

Today I may post some open threads at my games. I haven't decided yet.
I also retook comps today. I'm not sure how I feel about them. But we'll see! Fingers crossed I did well enough to pass them this time :)
Okay, I need a plan for today. Lunch, then reading, and maybe some writing and stuff. I'll probably write it all out later!
